I enjoyed class today, and many others did also. We learned a lot of different things. The cigarette advertising folks finished their presentations. It's a valuable case study in advertising and propaganda. Then we had a music presentation focusing on popular music of the 1920s, 1960s, and 2000s. Jazz, activist music, and commercial crap. The contrast between the music of last century and the music of this century is extraordinary. It's a sad testimony to the power of money and commercialism.
